Carbon dioxide is recovered from many different sources. It is obtained as an off-gas from fermentation processes, lime-stone kilns, natural CO2 springs, as well as gas streams from chemical and petrochemical operations. Recently, CO2 is also recaptured from the off-gas from power plants.
We offer compressed carbon dioxide gas and liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) in a variety of purities and concentrations including but not limited to beverage grade, food grade and USP.
Structural Design
Double-layer Container: Usually composed of two containers inside and outside, forming a double-layer structure. The inner container is used to store liquid carbon dioxide, and it is generally made of 16MnDR material, which has good low-temperature toughness and fatigue resistance, and can adapt to the low-temperature storage environment of liquid carbon dioxide; the outer container can be selected as Q235-B or 16MnR material, serving as protection and support for the inner container.
Insulation Method: The interlayer between the two containers is filled with insulating material, silica sand, and vacuumed to form a vacuum powder insulation type. This design can effectively reduce the heat transfer from the outside and maintain the low-temperature environment inside the tank. The vacuum degree requirements vary depending on the effective volume of the storage tank.
For example, when the effective volume is less than or equal to 10 cubic meters, the vacuum degree should not exceed 2 pascals; between 10 and 50 cubic meters, the vacuum degree should not exceed 3 pascals; between 50 and 100 cubic meters, the vacuum degree should not exceed 5 pascals.
Tank Type: It can be divided into vertical and horizontal types. Users can choose based on factors such as site space and usage requirements.
Safety Features Equipped with "combined, safety system valve", which can be used simultaneously with two sets of safety valves. During the regular calibration of the safety valves, one set can be closed while the other continues to work normally, ensuring that the storage tank can operate safely during calibration and preventing high pressure inside the tank from causing danger.
Operating System The tank is equipped with pressure gauges, differential pressure level meters, and liquid level comparison tables, etc. Operators can use these devices to monitor the pressure and liquid level inside the tank in real time, so as to effectively control during the filling and discharging of liquid carbon dioxide, and ensure the safety and efficiency of the tank operation.
Some tanks adopt a dual liquid inlet (upper and lower inlet) system, making the liquid inlet operation more flexible and efficient. Detection system Special vacuum detection devices, vacuum gauges, and vacuum valves are set at the bottom of the tank. Operators can use vacuum meters to regularly or immediately detect the vacuum degree of the tank's inner layer. If the vacuum degree drops, measures can be taken in time to repair it, ensuring the insulation performance and safe operation of the tank.
Application fields Industrial production: In numerous industrial fields such as soda production, urea manufacturing, carbonated beverage welding, foundry industry, pesticide production, and oxidation inhibitor production, liquid carbon dioxide is widely used as an important industrial raw material. Carbon dioxide storage tanks provide stable liquid carbon dioxide storage guarantees for these production processes.
Refrigeration and food industry: Liquid carbon dioxide is a refrigerant that can be used for food preservation and also for artificial rainfall. Carbon dioxide storage tanks can provide the required liquid carbon dioxide for food refrigeration transportation, quick freezing processing and other links.
Gas supply: Using carbon dioxide storage tanks as the gas supply source, by configuring relevant equipment, various gas supply modes such as high-pressure gas cylinder filling, low-temperature insulated gas cylinder division filling, centralized gas supply through pipelines and low-temperature liquid spray liquid supply can be realized, meeting the gas supply needs of different users.
